PAT Testing
Portable Appliance Testing (or ‘PAT testing’ as it’s more commonly known) is carried out to prove appliances are safe for every day use. These are carried out on smaller appliances, such as toasters, computers or washing machines.
If you are in charge of any commercial premises, then PAT testing is required as part of your Health and Safety responsibilities to ensure the safety of your employees. Landlords and those who rent out properties may also decide that PAT testing of appliances is necessary to ensure tenant safety.
We do also offer PAT testing services to those homeowners who are looking for peace of mind.
It’s a simple process, which involves a visual inspection of equipment and any flexible cables for good condition, as well as a test to determine that there aren’t any defects that can’t be seen by visual testing alone.
